
The CPGA T.R.U.S.T (Training, Responsibility, Understanding Safety, and Transparency) Awards recognize individuals and organizations in the gas industry who demonstrate excellence in training, safety, community outreach, environmental responsibility, and other key areas. These awards aim to acknowledge achievements, boost professional credibility, foster networking, promote best practices, and enhance workforce development.
Deadline to submit nominations is May 31, 2026.
Purpose of the Award
Awards recognize individuals and organizations for their hard work and accomplishments. They also serve as a tangible representation of success.
- Credibility: Awards enhance an individual’s credibility and professional reputation, often leading to additional opportunities for growth and advancement.
- Networking: Awards create opportunities to expand professional networks and engage with others in the field, fostering partnerships and collaboration.
- Promotion of Excellence: Awards highlight and promote excellence by recognizing those who demonstrate exceptional knowledge, skills, and experience.
- Employment Opportunities: Awards can open doors to additional resources and career opportunities.
- Inform Stakeholders: Awards demonstrate to employees, stakeholders, and clients that an organization is a leader in the industry.
- Workforce Development: Awards help strengthen the workforce by encouraging and cultivating future professionals in the field.
General Requirements
- Must be a system member of CPGA in good standing.
- Must be an associate member in good standing.
- Submission deadline is May 31 of each year.
- Information must be submitted on a calendar-year basis.
- Award winners will be announced at the CPGA Annual Conference in September.
- Award winners will be notified prior to public announcement.
- Submitters must provide supporting documentation for up to 20% of responses.
Scoring Process:
The CPGA Executive Committee will appoint an Awards Committee annually. This committee will evaluate each applicant based on the criteria outlined in this document. Awards will be granted based on the established point scale.
- Bronze Award: 70–79%
- Silver Award: 80–89%
- Gold Award: 90–99%
- Platinum Award: 100%
If no system or associate member meets the minimum requirements, CPGA is not obligated to issue an award in a given year.

- Community Outreach Section: Recognizes efforts to improve the well-being of communities.

“TRUST” Leadership Award
Purpose of the Award
This award recognizes an individual who has demonstrated exceptional leadership, dedication, and lasting contributions to the natural gas industry and the CPGA. It honors those who have gone above and beyond in advancing the industry, supporting peers, and strengthening the association through active involvement and service.
Recipients of this award exemplify the core values of the TRUST Awards—Training, Responsibility, Understanding, Safety, and Transparency—and have made a meaningful impact on both their organization and the broader industry.
Qualifications

Must be an employee of a system or associate member in good standing

Demonstrated significant and sustained impact within the natural gas industry

Demonstrated meaningful involvement, leadership, or collaboration within CPGA

Minimum of 15 years of service in the industry

Retiring, transitioning roles, or otherwise at a significant career milestone

Nominees may be evaluated on the following:
